Prosperous Armenia party will not formally respond to the statements by the leader of the opposition alliance Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Ter-Petrosyan about possible cooperation.
Speaking to the RFE/RL Armenia services Khachik Galstyan, the spokesperson for Prosperous Armenia’s leader Gagik Tsarukyan, said that they have nothing to say, except that the “political analysis has been taken into account”.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan said at a rally on November 25 that the HAK should be ready to seriously consider the possibilities and the prospects of cooperation with Prosperous Armenia, if the latter sincerely intends to quit the coalition and fight for “legal elections”.
Galstyan also told RFE/RL that Gagik Tsarukyan was not in Armenia when Ter-Petrosyan made the statement and that he was briefed about it upon his return.
Galstyan stressed that Tsarukyan did not say anything about it when informed.
