Georgian President condemns decision on depriving Agrarian University of accreditation
Georgia
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has reacted to the decision of depriving the accreditation of the Georgian Agrarian University. The statement was made by the Georgian President via Facebook today.
"The authorities are trying to close the most modern and progressive university in Georgia," the statement said. "They make a blow to the country's future. It is absolutely clear that the decision is unreasonable and unfair for all those who keep at least some objectivity. I urge the government to review a politically motivated decision that could lead to catastrophic consequences."
The National Center for Quality Education deprived the Georgian Agrarian University of the accreditation on Monday. The university administration of the Georgian Agrarian University intends to appeal this decision at the court.
