Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze and British Deputy Foreign Minister Simon Fraser discussed Great Britain's support for Georgia's association agreement with the EU on Tuesday in Tbilisi.
It is necessary to enlist the support of the EU member-states to ensure the agreement ratification procedure by the end of the year, Panjikidze told media after the meeting.
She added that bilateral relations between Georgia and Great Britain were discussed.
"We want the intensification of these relations," the Minister said.
Before a meeting with Panjikidze, the British diplomat met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. The meeting was held in a government office behind closed doors.
The Prime Minister's office told Trend that the parties discussed the future relations between the two countries.
