Amur leopard population up 1.5 times - WWF

The Amur leopard population has increased by 1.5 times over the past six years, representatives of WWF Russia report.
According to a leopard population count of one month ago, 48-50 leopard species are currently living in southwest Primorye, while no more than 35 dwelled in this area six years ago.
The Amur leopard - one of the rarest subspecies of the cat family – was included in the Red Book of Endangered Species, TASS reported.
