March 1 murders remain unsolved.

At his Dec. 12 meeting with journalists, Vahagn Haruyunyan, the ex-head of the group formed to investigate the March 1 events, said that the group members have no facts about deaths on March 1, 2008 at their disposal.
Talking to Tert.am, Vladimir Karapetyan, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), said it is unacceptable that such a statement should be made by a person that is not a group member.
Vahagn Harutyunyan is now Chief of the Major Cases Department, Head Investigation Department, Armenia's Police.
"He stopped dealing with the case several weeks ago," Karapetyan said.
He is sure that the investigatory group did not actually do anything to solve the March 1crimes. "It is just an attempt to deceive the public. They pretend to be working, but they are actually executing a political order," Karapetyan said.
Vahagn Harutyunyan also said that the group is still waiting for the public to provide information.
Karapetyan, in turn, believes I will never happen because the public does not trust the investigatory group.
