The Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Armenia closed the criminal case it had launched against Syunik Regional Governor Suren Khachatryan’s hitting businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan.
The SIS investigation concluded that during the argument, which had taken place between the two aforementioned in capital Yerevan’s Armenia Marriott Hotel, on November 14, the Governor had slapped Hambardzumyan once.
According to Silva Hambardzumyan’s testimony, she did not receive physical injuries as a result of Suren Khachatryan’s slap, and she refused a medical treatment voucher. In his testimony, Suren Khachatryan said he regretted for his action.
In this case, the abovementioned action does not contain elements of beating, since, by saying “beating,” we understand dealing multiple blows to cause physical pain.
And based on the evidence, it was decided Monday that the criminal case be closed, SIS Information Division informed.
To recall, SIS had launched a criminal case against Suren Khachatryan, based on Silva Hambardzumyan’s written statement. The case was launched for Syunik Regional Governor’s beating the businesswoman in Armenia Marriott Hotel.
As LURER.com has already informed earlier, during the interview with our correspondent Silva Hambardzumyan announced that the incident could be leveled only if Suren Khachatryan publicly apologized to her and returned her property back.
