Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian met his Italian counterpart Giulio Terzi.

Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian, who is currently in Rome as a member of the Armenian delegation escorting President Serzh Sargsyan who is in Italy, met Tuesday with Italian FM Giulio Terzi.
Nalbandian noted, “I am confident that through joint efforts we will further deepen the cooperation between our two countries.”
During the ensuing conversation, the FMs noted that Armenian-Italian relations go back thousands of years, and this is a strong foundation for further strengthening the relations.
The Armenian and Italian FMs also reflected on bilateral relations and the legal field between both countries.
In terms of cultural exchange, Nalbandian underscored the holding of the “Dvin: Armenia’s Capital Between Europe and Asia” Exhibition, in Rome, and of the “Armenia: The Stamps of Civilization” Exhibition, in Venice. He also thanked the Italian government for its assistance in the founding, in Armenia, of the Center for Restoration of Cultural Treasures.
During their talks, the interlocutors also discussed Armenia-EU cooperation, the European Neighborhood Policy, and the Eastern Partnership Project.
The FMs of Armenia and Italy also examined the regional and international matters. And in this context, Edward Nalbandian briefed his Italian counterpart on the latest developments in the Karabakh peace process.
