Armenian parliamentary opposition demands political estimation to Syunik region Governor’s action.

Armenian parliamentary opposition Heritage party demands to give political estimation to the action of Armenia’s Syunik region Governor Suren Khachatryan relating to the attack on businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan.

“Armenia’s Special Investigative Service stated on December 12 that criminal proceedings proved that businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan was subjected to physical violence by the Governor Suren Khachatryan.

However, the criminal case was closed based on lack of offense. This proves that Armenian authorities display unfair approach in applying justice.

Heritage party believes the action is unacceptable. Regardless the criminal case was closed, the party demands ruling authorities to give political estimation to the ruling Republican Party member’s action at least by dismissing him from the office,” the message reads.
