Armenia’s world champion weightlifter Nazik Avdalyan will be unable to compete for the next 2-3 years, Armenia’s Weightlifting Federation President Samvel Khachatryan stated during a press conference.
In his words, the doctors have prohibited Avdalyan from lifting weights for 1-2 years. “She has no right to touch the weight bar for the next 1-2 years,” Khachatryan noted.
To note, Nazik Avdalyan had announced that she planned on opening a sports school in Vanadzor city.
Avdalyan had a car crash on April 26, received spinal injury and spinal cord shock, and was transferred to hospital. She also had another accident, this time on January 3, when her Mercedes had crashed into the wall of a military unit.
