Georgia does not exclude possibility of establishment of joint military enterprises with NATO partners
Georgia
The notion of joint military ventures between Georgia and its NATO partners cannot not be ignored, Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania said at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for Defence and Security on Thursday.
"I agree that all countries that face serious threats are moving towards self-sufficiency. This requires considerable investments, and I want to say that the previous government also considered it. This is very important and we will try to keep this topic on the table," the minister noted.
Concerning armored vehicles, model versions of which have already been created, the defense minister said that they needed some improvement.
"Perhaps we will create joint ventures with our partners from NATO in order to work in this direction," Alasania stated.
