Armenia’s Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan commented for journalists on his work during 11-month tenure.
Opening a press conference in one of Yerevan tea houses on Saturday, Tovmasyan joked he is feeling like he is passing an exam.
Speaking about his work, Tovmasyan said he would give himself 5 out of 5 grades for his work in the field of registration and 4 – for notarial services, 3 – in the field of judicial reforms “but I would do my best to pass an exam in the future,” he joked. However, Tovmasyan does not have “a grade mark of 2.”
Then he added, that Armenian Ministry of Justice received 3263 complaints from the citizens this years as compared to 2796 last year.
Over 1731 complaints have undergone the inspection to monitor the legality, 627 complaints referred to the judicial system.
A total of 306 complaints referred to the activities of the notaries, while 482 referred to the Service of Compulsory Execution of Judicial Acts.
Other complaints referred to release on parole, amnesty and medical aid.
