Another life-termer has started hunger strike in the Nubarashen penitentiary in Armenia to join Arthur Mkrtchyan who has been on strike since December 7.
"Life-term prisoner Emil Verdyan has been taken to a separate cell," said Gor Ghlechyan, spokesperson for the Penitentiary Department at the Ministry of Justice Ministry.
Earlier, Emil Verdyan had appealed to the court to reconsider the term of his imprisonment, but the court had turned down his request.
Emil Verdyan was sentenced to life in 2008.
