New Year celebrations will start today, at 20:00pm.

“The activities of the New Year decoration in the capital are mainly finished”, was reported during the current working conference. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan invited everybody to the Republic Square on December 20, at 20.00 pm to participate in the event  of lighting the main New Year Tree of the Republic, with which  the start of festive events in the capital will be announced.

In relation with the New Year holidays the Mayor instructed certain subdivisions subordinated to the municipality to work by 24-hour schedule instead of working by turns. “On the holidays the executives of administrative districts and sanitary cleaning companies are to work 24-hour. We should exclude waste piling and in case of possible snowfalls operatively organize sanitary cleaning activities both in central and in secondary streets and yard areas”, said Taron Margaryan.
