Opposition Armenian National Congress leader, and Armenia’s First President, Levon Ter-Petrosyan sent a message of condolence on the passing of former Czech President, Vaclav Havel. 

“Vaclav Havel will remain in history as a leader who led his people’s triumphant fight for democracy. But the historic importance of his person is not limited to his homeland. President Havel’s complete devotion to democratic values and principles has been a source of inspiration for an entire generation which was fighting for democracy in Eastern Europe and in former Soviet Union,” the message specifically reads.
