A new passageway was opened in Yerevan`s Ajapnyak district.

A new passageway was opened on Shiraz Street of the Ajapnyak district in Yerevan. Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan attended the opening ceremony and was the first to use the passageway.

The mayor underlined that the construction of passageways would continue in the sectors where the areas near the major streets were densely populated and were admissible in terms of urbanization.

"To have a safe and secure city, we have to do everything possible to provide suitable conditions for the population and make the city safer," the mayor mentioned.

Citizens' desires, safety and suitability standards were taken into account during the construction of the passageway. There will be special lighting to ensure safety at night.

The residents expressed their gratitude for the efforts and underlined that the passageway would help make it possible for them to avoid car accidents.
