Former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan says the falsifications during the upcoming National Assembly elections will be unprecedented.
"I can already invite many to Freedom Square on May 6 and 7," he said.
Journalists asked Bagratyan why the Armenian National Congress was participating in the upcoming elections, if they were going to be falsified anyway.
"If we participate, we will make them not falsify," he said.
Hrant Bagratyan is certain that if the elections are not falsified, the ANC will garner at least 40-45 percent of votes, and since passions will flare after the elections, he hopes this time the authorities won't organize bloody clashes. The former prime minister gave consent to the analysis of the Congress leader offering Prosperous Armenia Party to join the ANC.
However, according to him, the PAP won't join the Congress and won't go to the elections with the list of the Republican Party of Armenia since "it will take its right to go alone in the parliamentary elections under the condition that it performs for Serzh Sargsyan in the presidential elections".
Bagratyan assured that the ANC would be going to the elections as a separate force, despite the fact that there may be some progress in the opposition field.
