Acting Venezuelan president Maduro calls opposition 'heirs of Hitler'

Venezuela's acting President Nicolas Maduro on Saturday called the country's opposition "heirs of Hitler," accusing them of persecuting Cuban doctors working in the South American country the way Jews were persecuted in Nazi Germany.
His accusation adds to weeks of insults between the two presidential candidates, Nicolas Maduro and Henriques Capriles, ahead of the April 14th election triggered by the death of Hugo Chavez earlier this month.
Ten years ago Chavez began bringing Cuban doctors to Venezuela to provide free health care in slums and rural villages.
However, opposition critics say Maduro and other senior government figures are receiving guidance directly from Cuban President Raul Castro, as well as allowing advisers from the communist state to influence Venezuela’s military and intelligence services.
