Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan held a meeting with UNICEF Representative in Armenia Henriette Ahrens.

The Armenian premier congratulated Ms. Ahrens on her appointment.

Armenia highly appreciates cooperation with UNICEF in defending children's rights, dealing with their health problems and improving their living conditions, the premier said.

The Armenian government is willing to discuss further cooperation programs.

Ms. Ahrens noted that it is a great honor for her to work in Armenia. The UNICEF office in Armenia will continue developing cooperation in performing its mission in the country, she said.

Premier Sargsyan emphasized the introduction of an adoptive family system in Armenia. He noted that children's rights are constantly in the government spotlight.
