Richard Giragosian: Turkey pays for being unfair to Armenia.

Director of Regional Studies Center, political scientist Richard Giragosian said today that “Turkey is paying for being unfair to Armenia”.

Richard Giragosian said this commenting on the bill criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide passed by the French parliament and Turkey’s reaction.

“The recent voting refers to internal political developments in France and to relations between Paris and Ankara. But it also points to the problem Turkey has in the process of improvement of relations with Armenia,” he said.

According to him, Armenia doesn’t and shouldn’t have any role in this process. “Armenia may only use this to reinforce its positions in relations with Turkey,” said Richard Giragosian.
