Sargsyan thanked Sarkozy and stressed that France proved once again its devotion to universal values.
“Dear Mr. President,
Two and a half months after your official visit to Armenia and your speeches at the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex and the French Square in Yerevan, the French National Assembly adopted the bill criminalizing the denial of genocides. It is the best expression of your personal commitment, your loyalty to the Armenian-French strong friendship, elimination of dividing lines and reconciliation of people in the region,” the letter reads.
