Speaker of RA National Assembly met with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Speaker of RA National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan met Friday at National Assembly with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the delegation headed by him.

NA Vice-Speaker Samvel Balasanyan, chairmen of the standing committees and representatives of NA factions attended the meeting.

Welcoming the delegation headed by the Iranian President, Speaker of RA National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan noted that the friendly relations with Iran have always been in development since the 20 years of Armenia's independence. A number of productive programs have been implemented between the two countries.

Expressing gratitude for warm reception, the Iranian President attached importance to the current relations and cooperation between Armenia and Iran, expressing confidence that the NA Speaker and MPs will support implementation of the intended programs.
