Armenian parliament speaker Samvel Nikoyan sent a gratitude letter to his French counterpart Bernard Accoyer on the occasion of the bill adoption on penalizing denial of genocides by the French National Assembly.

“Dear Mr. President,

The French National Assembly proved once again its loyalty to universal values and human rights by passing the bill on penalizing denial of genocides on Thursday.

I believe the Senate will also pass the bill and France will be among those states, which have fixed by law that crimes against humanity have no statute of limitation. Only by condemning them it is possible to prevent new crimes against humanity,” the letter reads.
