Diplomatic School of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted Monday Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian welcomed the PM in the Diplomatic School, stressing that with Tigran Sargsyan's lecture the studies of the Diplomatic School's 2nd generation is concluded.
As a topic of the lecture, the PM presented to the hearers the program of the government, which was ratified at the National Assembly still in 2008. Tigran Sargsyan pointed out the ontological bases of that program and singled out the circumstance of the world's being changeable and dwindling.
"Our next fundamental principle is that in the modern world we should build up an economy based on knowledge: developed are considered the countries, which produce not goods, but knowledge," stressed the Prime Minister.
Among other principles Tigran Sargsyan pointed out the circumstance of man's being the strategic driving force of the economy, as well as issues concerning revelation of peoples' identity.
The Armenian Prime Minister underlined that putting the stress on the mentioned bases, the government strives to ensure economic growth in the conditions of macroeconomic stability, as well as to ensure social solidarity, development of education and healthcare, updating of the governing system and territorial balanced development.
Wrapping up the meeting, Tigran Sargsyan answered hearers' questions, which, particularly, concerned overcoming of the consequences of the financial and economic crisis, energy, proportionate territorial development, export, etc.
