Georgia, Turkey discuss joint projects in region

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili on Saturday met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As the administration of the President of Georgia told Trend, the parties discussed the relations between the two countries and deepen cooperation.
As noted in the administration, Saakashvili and Erdogan discussed the joint projects in the region, which Azerbaija is involved to. These are oil and gas pipelines and the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
The parties stressed that the friendly relations that have been established in recent years between the two countries, exemplary and significant in the region, will continue.
Turkish Prime Minister received President of Georgia at Dolmabahce palace in Istanbul.
