Yerevan Mayor hosted representatives in the sphere of culture, art and sport.

On the event of the New Year and Christmas holidays the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan hosted the representatives of art, culture and sport spheres of the capital.

Wishing those present happy holidays, the Mayor stressed the role of representatives of culture not only in keeping the traditions of the sphere but also in creating a cultural environment and upbringing the young generation. Taron Margaryan once again assured that the City Hall will go on supporting the sphere of culture and endorsing the best projects.

“I gladly greet the fact that the arranged festivals, exhibitions and musical events enter the international scene bringing recognition to us and forming new traditions in our city and creating new cultural history”, said the Mayor.

For the great contribution to Armenian art as well as on the event of 75th jubilee, the painter Hrant Tadevosyan; the art director of “Barekamutyun” group Norayr Mehrabyan, for his contribution to dance art and on the event of 70th jubilee; as well as RA People’s Actress Zhenya Avetisyan for her contribution to Armenian theatrical art by the decision of the Mayor of Yerevan were awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold medal.
