Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan took part in the opening of six yards in Malatia-Sebastia district improved within the framework of yard improvement program of the municipality of 2011. It is noteworthy that these well-arranged yards used to be illegally occupied by the residents and were used as “kitchen gardens”.
In some places the residents by themselves dismantled their own garages so that their children have playgrounds, new bowers and benches are installed both for children and for grown-ups to make their everyday life more interesting.
In some places, taking into account the spaces, sports-grounds were formed, in particular yards sport equipment was installed too. The residents expressed their gratitude to the Mayor for such an opportunity and promised to keep their yards properly.
Talking to the residents, the Mayor of Yerevan congratulated them on having new well-arranged yards and wished them happy holidays. He also stressed that caring attitude is the first precondition of seeing the yard improved and beautiful for a long time.
“We try to do our best to make the yards convenient for the residents. I assure that in some years all the yards of Yerevan will look so well-arranged. The only thing is to be caring and attentive and in this case the yards will serve you long”, said Taron Margaryan.
Only in Malatia-Sebastia district nine improved yards and one mini-football field have been put into commission. The residents of the yards which haven’t been improved yet, asked the Mayor to include their yards in improvement programs.
