APPA car insurance contracts are mandatory.
Right
The public relations service of the Car Insurance Bureau of Armenia announces:
"There are rumors going around that it is no longer necessary to sign APPA car insurance contracts for 2012 and that car owners decide to sign them or not.
The Car Insurance Bureau of Armenia offiically announces that that information doesn't correspond to reality and that those disseminating such information are aimed at leading people in the wrong direction. We think this can cause more problems and create tension for car owners and drivers who still haven't signed the APPA contracts. Once again, we deem it necessary to recall that
1. The presence of an APPA contract for cars registered in the Republic of Armenia is mandatory,
2. Those who are found without an APPA contract will pay a fine-5,000 for every ten days and a maximum of 50,000 drams a year regardless of whether the car is used or not.
3. Those driving without an APPA contract will pay 50,000 drams, and if an expired ticket is posted on the car, the driver will pay 150,000 drams.
Based on the above mentioned, the Car Insurance Bureau of Armenia calls on all car owners to sign the APPA contracts.
