The “Trchkan” environmental civil initiative will organize a strong action on Thursday.

“We will gather before the Armenian Government Building to present our demand: To declare null and void the Government’s anti-state decision to lease to Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant, and under the name of “eminent domain,” the 608-hectare land of Kajaran, Syunik, Artsvanik, Sevakar, Achanan, and Chapni villages of Armenia’s Syunik Region. Afterwards [we will] march to the Armenian Presidential Office.

We demand from the President to finally meet with us and to secure a discussion toward examining the problems in this domain and finding avenues for their solution,” the civil initiative’s respective statement specifically reads.
