Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan provided financial assistance to 12 families at Koryun 23 address.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan has allocated 42 million drams (approx. $109,100) from Yerevan Fund to 12 families at Koryun 23 address whose houses were largely affected by fire on November 24.

According to the website of the Yerevan Municipality, Taron Margaryan personally handed the bank cards to their owners on Thursday so that they will use the money for renovation and reconstruction. 

“I think this financial assistance will help you to ease your burden,” said Taron Margaryan.

He also said that the houses are the property of the residents and the Municipality has no obligation.

Margaryan further said that taking into account the relatively large scale of the damage caused by the fire, the Municipality, however, is demonstrating goodwill and is assisting them.
