Programs presented by Armenia for the 2012 anniversary events have been approved at the 36th UNESCO General Conference.

Culture Ministry press office reported that events dedicated to the 1650th birthday anniversary of Mesrop Mashtots, 300 birthday anniversary of Sayat-Nova, 500th anniversary of Armenian typography and 1400th birthday anniversary of Anania Shirakatsi were presented and all have been approved.

The approval of the applications has been agreed with the mission of UNESCO in scientific, social and humanitarian spheres and with its unbreakable ties with the highest all-human ideas, values.
