Aliyev: "Nagorno-Karabakh conflict a major security threat to my country."

The Azerbaijani president has described the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict a major security threat to his country and the entire region, APA reports.

In a speech delivered at a conference that had brought together graduates of the Moscow Institute of International Relations, Ilham Aliyev blamed Armenia for preventing a progress in the ongoing negotiations.

“Nagorno-Karabakh and the adjacent regions must be returned to the side they legally belong to. We try to give an impetus to the negotiations, while the opposite side protracts the process,”.

Considering any protraction inadmissible, Aliyev called for resolving the conflict based on the Helsinki Final Act and four United Nations resolutions.
