According to SNC secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan the 2011 year was positive for the National Security Council.

The main achievement of the National Security Council in 2011 is considered the development of the border security, Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan told during conclusive press conference on Dec. 29.
He noted that an agreement was signed between Armenia and Russia which related to the issues of reinforcement of borders, their technical upgrading. "More than 20 inter-departmental task groups have been set up which dealt with the working out of documents relating to strategic issues of the country. Eleven of them have been approved by Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan. Another nine are being finalized," Baghdasaryan said. According to him, all state management bodies participated in the preparation of documents.
In the passing year Armenia's NSC cooperated with NATO in 130 directions and successfully completed the year. Armenia is successfully cooperating with the CSTO as our country is the first one to have implemented its commitments by 100%.
Baghdasaryan also rated high the studies made by the NSC in embassies, police, criminal executive institutions, rescue service of the Emergency Situations Ministry.
"Armenia established international partnership with national security councils of Russia, Poland. Signing of bilateral cooperation agreement is expected with Belarus and France," the secretary of the national council said. He expressed hope that the plan for the coming year will help to solve the issues coming from the passed year.
