Edward Nalbandian received Lebanon’s Ambassador

On April 15 Lebanon’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Jean Makaron, and presented the copy of his credentials to Armenia’s Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Nalbandian wished the diplomat success in his new mission, and expressed a hope that the ambassador will contribute to further consolidating ties between Armenia and Lebanon, the Armenian MFA press service informs.
The acting FM also stressed that the mutual visits of the presidents of both countries have given new impetus to Armenian-Lebanese relations, and there are new programs and initiatives.
Ambassador Makaron assured that he will exert his maximum efforts to enhance the cooperation. He added that Lebanon underscores the need to deepen interaction with Armenia, and pointed to the Lebanese-Armenian community’s great contribution to the development of Lebanon.
In the ensuing discussion, Edward Nalbandian and Jean Makaron reflected on the developments in the Middle East, specifically the situation in Syria.
