Mikheil Saakashvili to not participate in his party’s action

President of Georgia, chairman of the 'United National Movement' Mikheil Saakashvili will not take part in the action to be held on April 19, the parliamentary minority member Giorgi Vashadze said on Thursday.

According to him, the peaceful character of the action in the interest of every member of the "National Movement", because many of them will come to Rustaveli Avenue with their family members, including small children.

"According to my information, Mikheil Saakashvili will not participate in this action. In any case, we will be mobilized and keep order. I am going to come with my family. Many other party members will come with their children. I am sure we will not tolerate any provocations. Actually I was very surprised that the Interior Ministry issued a public statement in connection with the establishment of monitoring groups together with the mayor's office. The first thing I thought was the following: Does Garibashvili just want to have arguments to say that he tried to establish order? But I hope nothing happens," the parliamentarian said.
