Trial of ex-chief of Armenia's traffic police to go on.

On Jan. 9, the minor court of Yerevan's Center and Nork Marash communities is to continue the trial of Margar Ohanyan, the ex-chief of Armenia's traffic police.
The trial is to be resumed at 11:30am, the judicial information system reports.
Margar Ohanyan is charged with abuse of office and major embezzlement. Ohanyan caused AMD 217m (about US $571,000) damage to the state budget. As preliminary investigation was under way, Ohanyan paid part of the damage, AMD 198m.
Three other officials are involved in the case – Head of the Economic Department Ara Levonyan, technician Samvel Makhmuryan, and commander Stepan Karakhanyan. Their evidence served as a basis for Margar Ohanyan's arrest.
