Armenian Court was set to hear the complaint filed by soldier Valery Muradyan's mother against the illegal actions of the investigator.

On January 9, 2012, the Court of Appeal is set to hear the complaint filed by soldier Valery Muradyan's mother against the illegal actions of the investigator.

According to the official cause of death, Valeriy Muradyan hanged himself with a rope tied to a metal rod on March 15, 2010.

The case was discontinued. In January 2011 the boy's mother Nana Muradyan filed several complaints making the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Defense to restart an additional preliminary investigation.

Further the police arrested a soldier charged with slapping and humiliating Valery Muradyan a year before the incident. However, the criminal persecution against the soldier was suspended based on the National Assembly's' decision on amnesty.

According to the applicant, former investigator Arman Apresyan had not duly fulfilled his obligations and had committed several illegal actions.
