Winter holidays prolonged in some Yerevan schools.

Winter holidays of more than 20 schools in Yerevan city, lacking of individual heating system, were prolonged till Jan 20 for secondary and gymnasium schools and till Feb 3 for elementary schools under the decree of the Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.

The Mayor’s decision is based on the circular note by the Minister of Education and Science in accordance with the law of Educational Institutions for 2011-2012 and the report by the head of the Public Education Department of the Yerevan city hall, municipality press service informs.

According to the same decree, classes at the schools with the heating system will start on Jan 23 for elementary schools and on Jan 9 for secondary and gymnasium schools.
