Armenian opposition’s main demand is Serzh Sargsyan`s resignation.

The only guarantee for the Armenian National Congress (ANC) at the forthcoming elections is active public participation, said Lyudmila Sargsyan, member of the Congress.

According to her, motto of the ANC, off parliamentary opposition bloc, cannot change.

“We consider elections of the current president were illegitimate. Our main demand is resignation of Serzh Sargsyan. People cannot stand it any more,” she told journalists on Thursday.

MP from ruling Republican Party Karine Achemyan stressed that it is necessary not to tense atmosphere during the elections.

“We must show solidarity and prove that Armenia can hold free and transparent elections,”  she said.
