The RA Government gives consent to the conception for the development of Armenology.

The RA Government today gave consent to the conception for the development of Armenology, the strategy for the development of the sphere in 2012-2025 and the itinerary for implementing measures.

"The main goal of the documents is to turn Armenology into a powerful factor for ensuring the security of the Armenian nation in terms of the nation and culture through the efforts of Armenian intellectuals," reports the Department of Information and Public Relations.

According to that, it is envisaged that "as a result of the implementation of measures foreseen in the strategy, Armenology will promote the strengthening of independent statehood and will contribute to the reinforcement of national self-awareness".

Prime Minister Sargsyan emphasized that the adopted documents include solutions that satisfy all of Armenia's scientific research institutions and the professionals.
