Armenia, Belarus to develop cooperation in defense sphere.

Secretary of Armenia's National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan discussed with the Minister of Defense of Belarus Yuri Zhadobin issues on deepening Armenian-Belarusian ties in the sphere of defense.

Press office of the NSC informed that Baghdasaryan met with the Belarusian Minister for Agriculture and Food Mikhail Rusy. Issues on ensuring food safety in the two countries, reinforcement of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of agriculture were discussed at the meeting. The interlocutors also stressed the main directions of future cooperation. For implementing the reached arrangements delegation headed by Rusy will arrive in Armenia in February-March.

Accompanied by the first deputy minister of industry of Belarus, NSC Secretary visited "Minsk Tractor Works" and got acquainted with the powers of the plant. During the visit the parties discussed a number of issues on creation of service centers for Belarusian tractors in Armenia.

Arthur Baghdasaryan is also going to meet with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. 2012-2013 cooperation program will be signed between the security councils of the two countries within the framework of the visit.
