Georgia softens Russia rhetoric, says PM

Georgia’s new military doctrine no longer specifically describes Russia as the biggest threat to the country, Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said in an interview with Rustavi 2 TV channel on Friday evening.

He underscored that the tonality of the country’s new military doctrine had been notably eased.

"Unlike the previous government, the new one has considerably softened the rhetoric vis-à-vis Russia and will stick to this new policy," the Prime Minister added.
