Turkish Foreign Ministry on Friday rejected remarks by French Education Minister Vincent Peillon's remarks he made during a rally in Paris on Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reported.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it strongly condemned Peillon's remarks which affirmed Armenian allegations over the incidents of 1915 in the Ottoman Empire.
"It is even more unfortunate that such remarks which unfairly denigrates our history and foments hatred were made by a government member responsible for education," the statement said.
