Serzh Sargsyan receives Ukrainian historian-armenologist Irina Gayuk

Armenia’s President, Serzh Sargsyan, on Saturday received Ukrainian historian and armenologist Irina Gayuk, who is the author of the encyclopedia entitled Armenian Culture in Ukraine.
The President highly appreciated Gayuk’s aforesaid scholarly work, which is devoted to the Armenians, and extended his thanks to her for the important activities which the historian-armenologist is carrying out in Ukraine for numerous years, the President’s Press Office informs.
In addition Sargsyan presented the Movses Khorenatsi medal to Irina Gayuk, in recognition of her contribution to the development of Armenian-Ukrainian cultural ties, and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Irina Gayuk stressed that she carries out her activities with delight and highly respects the Armenian nation and its history and culture. Irina Gayuk added that she will continue contributing to the mission of presenting the Armenian cultural heritage and history to the world.
