Serzh Sargsyan`s official visit to Armavir region.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has visited the Vanand community in the Armavir region, Armenia.

The Armenian leader was informed of the final stage of renovation at the local school.

The school has been furnished anew, and the physical and chemical labs have been provided with necessary materials, Headmaster Hayk Khachikyan told Tert.am.

The Euroterm company purchased 130 hectares of lands in Vanand to construct a Noyan fruit and vegetable processing plant.

The Armenian president attended the foundation-laying ceremony of the plant, which is expected to employ 50 people. Serzh Sargsyan was informed of the company's activities and development programs.

Edik Ghazaryan, founder of the Euroterm company, gave assurances that only organic methods of growing will be applied in the area.

"We are going to use only fresh fruits and cooperate with the farmers by purchasing 90% of fruit from them. The rest 10% will be supplied from the companies' gardens. I hope the plant will be launched this July," Ghazaryan.

The construction is estimated at €1.5 to €2m, with €2 to €3m needed for equipment.
