Serzh Sargsyan received IMF representatives

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted Head of Armenian mission of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mark Horton and permanent representative of IMF Armenian office Guillermo Tolosa. Serzh Sargsyan greeted the guests and expressed gratitude to IMF for its support to Armenia and efficient cooperation.

At the meeting representatives of the fund reported to the Head of State on the results of final stage of "Extended support" / "Extended Credits” program which has launched in June 2010 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2013. Mark Horton was glad to speak about current results and underlined that successful finish would be strong basis for negotiations over new program.

Head of fund’s mission considered cooperation with Armenian government and Central Bank of Armenia to be rather efficient. Interlocutors referred to current economic situation of Armenia, main direction of economic policy, development programs as well as to negotiations over new IMF programs.
