January 14 - the day of Race Religion.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia celebrates the day of Race Religion on January 14.

'Race Religion' is the idea of Garegin Nzhdeh, who, according to Director of "Mayr Hayastan" Military Museum Avag Harutyunyan, "created sacraments for worshipping the nation" and set the date in 1934 after leaving for the United States and seeing the danger of assimilation of Armenians in 1932-33.

During today's press conference, Harutyunyan declared that "Race Religion was the guarantee of Armenians' victories for all time".

"Race Religion (worshipping the nation) lies at the core of the ideology of the Republican Party of Armenia. It is also considered the ideology of the armed forces," said Deputy Director of the National Archives of Armenia, Republican Edgar Hovhannisyan, adding that every political party must worship the nation, the type of Armenians and the value system regardless of its ideology.

"We are trying to make that idea popular across the country. Our main objective is not to make that ideology ours, but to make it the ideology of every person because Nzhdeh is what is national," the deputy director of the National Archives said in closing.
