Yerevan city mayor follows chess tournament dedicated to his father, Armenia’s former PM.

Yerevan city Mayor Taron Margaryan and Minister of Education Armen Ashotyan visited Armenia’s Chess Academy and followed the 8th round of the chess tournament dedicated to Armenia’s former PM Andranik Margaryan’s memory.
The tournament is held for the second time, the press service of Yerevan city hall informs. 500 boys and girls participate in the youth group below 18.
The best chess players of Armenia, Russia, Georgia and Iran including four grandmasters also participate in the tournament.
The winners will be awarded with medals and will receive monetary awards.
Former Armenian PM Andranik Margaryan was father of Yerevan city Mayor Taron Margaryan.
