Armenian MP Khosrov Harutyunyan confident of RPA victory in parliamentary elections.

Leader of the Christian-Democratic Union expressed confidence for the victory of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) in the coming elections.

President Serzh Sargsyan, who is the leader of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), is very likely to top the party’s list in the May parliamentary elections, according to the lawmaker.

Khosrov Harutyunyan, however, voiced disbelief for Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir coalition parties to join opposition due to their being bearers of RPA accomplishments and failures.

The MP further stressed the importance of holding fair elections, the problem being a common one.

Dwelling on the participation format of Christian-Democratic Union in the coming elections, Mr. Harutyunyan stated he will inform of it in early May.
