Armenian President attends Yerevan State University Board session.

Armenia’s President, and Yerevan State University (YSU) Board Chairman, Serzh Sargsyan attended the Board’s session on Tuesday.
At the beginning of the session, Sargsyan reflected on the several programs, which were launched years ago as a result of his meetings with YSU students and young scholars. “The first such program was the covering of the tuition fees of Armenian youth who were studying at twenty leading foreign universities. The second such program was that of providing homes to young scholars, pedagogues, lecturers, painters, and journalists. The next program was the creation of a fund for young scholars. [And} YSU’s next program was the reequipping of the laboratories,” Armenia’s President, and YSU Board Chairman, Serzh Sargsyan said, Presidential Press Office informed.
Also, considering the meetings with the students to be useful and productive, Sargsyan reaffirmed his readiness to continue these discussions.
Afterwards, YSU Board examined its agenda issues, which were presented by the University’s Rector, Aram Simonyan. The Board approved the reports, and YSU’s 2010-2011 education year activities were assessed as satisfactory.
