Trilateral meeting of Presidents is an attempt to open a new window - political scientist.

"Russian experts have hurried to qualify the meeting of the three presidents (Sargsyan-Medvedev-Aliev) as a meeting of farewell, connected with completion of Medvedev's mission in the political field. But it is not so at all," political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan told during today`s news conference.

He said it is not a farewell meeting but an attempt to open a window, in order after the Kazan meeting, which was thrown down, a certain progress is registered on the basis of the new "start". "The new president will try to activate the role of Russia in this process," said the political scientist. According to him, this is an opportunity of a new "start", which may also not happen, and in case of happening no situation change is expected.

France has activated the policy in EU and neighboring territory, there is a competition with the Great Britain. According to the political scientist, the locomotive in near future is expected to be not Russia but France. As he foresees, the role of the latter will increase soon.

To note, meeting of the tree presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan will be held on January 23, in Sochi.
